Part Two – House of Thoth
Chapter 1 –Lost Tablet – Page Four
Page four of the lost tablet of Saqqara…
I cannot understand why death had not yet discovered me. My angst is great. As is my thirst – my inexplicable thirst. The need for the intoxicating scent, grows stronger each day. Knowledge of its scent, its taste nearly faded; yet I barely recall the taste its sweetness, as it coursed my lips, my tongue, like that of sticky honey, red viscous liquid wines which now merely holds controls my every thought. I must have it. Each day it becomes more difficult to control my undying thirst – my undying thirst for blood.
Sadly, the crimson flow has long since dried from my hardened veins. My form no longer refreshed, nor invigorated for the rats no longer crawl with me in my darkened tomb. No longer can I hear their tiny claws as they scratch along the stone of this godforsaken tomb as I once did. Nor can I imbibe upon the silken fur and languish in such erotic juices. For I have consumed them all.
The flesh, my supple flesh which once covered my weary bones has wilted, dried, and fallen; as have my lips now desiccated, they crumble. My face sunken with holes nearly lost all of flesh. I feel this the pain. The pain, so excruciating it gnaws my craw as if I have been repeatedly skinned alive. And madness once again encapsulated my soul. My soul endlessly seeks a way out from here, alas, to no avail.
I pray to you my Lord that you find it in your merciful heart to send your angels down from the heavens and grasp me in their arms; for I am ready to serve you in your temple, oh masterful Lord.”
